| OPEN GYM SESSION
- The open gym sessions give you a chance to make use of all the
equipment at the USKA gym at your own pace. Whether it is bagwork,
padwork, shadow boxing, circuit work, technical work, stretching
or sparring that you are after this is the time to do it and is
open to junior and seniors from first time novice through to the
most advanced practitioner. |
TECHNICAL KICKBOXING CLASSES
- Technical Kickboxing classes are structured sessions starting
off with a warm up and fitness work then moving onto a stretch and
finally onto the break down of technique to increase the understanding
and application of the Kickboxing art and basic self defence. The
Technical classes offer the student a chance to move through the
grades from beginner to black belt and are broken down into three
different groups:
BEGINNERS - No experience necessary, Open to juniors and
seniors of all abilities although content predominantly aimed at
the absolute beginner. |
| INTERMEDIATE - From
Red Belt (First grade) onwards. |
| ADVANCED - From
Green Belt (Fifth grade) onwards. |
KICKBOXING FIGHTERS SESSION
- Fighters sessions work on all aspect of competition and practical
Kickboxing training in a structured environment with the instructor
setting padwork, bagwork, shadow boxing and sparring (intermediate
to advanced only) alongside fitness work to give the student an
intense work out.
BEGINNERS / INTERMEDIATE - No Experience
necessary although it is encouraged that these sessions are done
hand in hand with technical classes for maximum benefit and increased
learning and improvement. |
| ADVANCED - focusing
predominantly on intense fitness routines, padwork, bagwork, shadow
boxing and sparring for active fighters and prospective fighters.
You must have your own full protective equipment to attend these
sessions. |
| FITE FIT CIRCUIT TRAINING
- No martial arts/ fighting experience necessary. A variety of fitness
drills and timed interval circuits designed to develop all factors
of fitness including speed, strength, stamina, conditioning, flexibility,
core stability and agility. |
| LITTLE NINJAS (4- 10 Year Olds)
- Classes are aimed at 4 - 10 year olds and are a perfect introduction
to martial arts training and a stepping stone to the beginners kickboxing
/ self defence classes. The classes incorporate interactive and
basic co-ordination skills with fitness and concentration games
along with basic kickboxing technique and discipline in a fun hour
long workout. |
| BOXING PADWORK -
No Experience necessary, interactive boxing padwork and fitness
in a structured session learning the basics of the boxing offence
and defence art with a partner. small circuits accompany these sessions
to help build core fitness, strength and conditioning. |
| BOXING FIGHTERS SESSION
- For members who know the basics of boxing and wish to put it into
application with in free sparring and boxing sparring drills. small
circuits accompany these sessions to help build core fitness, strength
and conditioning. You must have your own gloves, gumshield and headguard
to attend these sessions. |
CHILDREN'S KICKBOXING SQUAD TRAINING
- A structured class for members of the Children's
USKA kickboxing fight squad to get ready for competition.
All aspects of ring competition are covered in this hour long session
putting final touches to their preparation to compete. You must
have your own full protective equipment to attend these sessions. |

Please note that you must acquire a licence to
take part in any session other that beginners
technical kickboxing, little ninjas,
fite fit circuit training and boxing
padwork.
