SUPERMAN 19TH JUNE 2005 The blue ribboned event is always the adult group and competition was as fierce as ever Qasim Nisar was in confident mood of retaining his crown and on the way achieving an incredible record time of 6 1/2 minutes on the dreaded Ski Squat everyones most hated event. But as the contest came to a climax it looked every bit like a two horse race with Champion Nisar going head to head with Challenger Tommy Collett. All the events were close but had Collett taken enough points to dethrone the Reigning Champion. As the result were read out in time honoured tradition of reverse order, the customary chants of "QASIM QASIM QASIM" eventually secumb to the elation of Tommy Collett admirers with the news that it was he, this time, who had become the new fitness supremo and had taken the title of U.S.K.A. SUPERMAN 2005. The competition is always competitive on superman day, but it is worth remembering it is very much about individual targets and to complete the ten events alone is accolade itself. Cheif instructor Neil would like to congratulate everyone who took part and also remind everyone that the proceeds would be donated to the Charity set up in the name one of U.S.K.A.'s favourite sons Azmat Yaqub and we would take the chance to thank one and all for your support.
