On display was Qasim "The Dream" Nisar and "SUPER" Mario Campbell making their full contact debuts along with Jnr fighter Tyler "The Steppin Razor" Shakespeare who would be contesting the unthinkable, the final leg of a triple British Title tilt in this his third different British Title in Little over a month. Tyler fresh off the back of Claiming the W.K.A. and The W.A.K.O. British Open Ring Titles would contest the I.S.K.A. Jnr 60-62 kg British crown against tough well seasoned opponent in Team Top Ten fighter Carl Bryant form Charlesworhts Martial Arts in Cannock. Known of Carl is that he was a very mobile southpaw and from a good semi contact background, meaning he would be unorthodox and difficult to hit. Qasim was contesting his first full contact bout having recently just turned 16. The test for "The Dream" would be to see if he could transmit his very fluent relaxed style to the full contact arena, and equally up against a tough opponent in Troy Ktori also from the Charlesworth gym. Troy had trained hard for this fight that we knew and that he was also well schooled, a tough battle lay ahead. Last but no means least was U.S.K.A.'s new heavyweight hope "SUPER" Mario Campbell pitted against the reputed good kicking skills of Nathan Hall from the Rough and Ready Gym. Tyson like Mario Campbell had a few tricks up his sleeve too for all those who had n't before seen this dynamic puncher with kicking skills of his own.The stage was set for a terrific show and with the backing of a ticket allocation sell out U.S.KA. following, all was in place for some awesome bouts of kickboxing Topping the Bill Was B.M.A.C. fighter Rob "Diesel" Stevens contesting the I.S.K.A. Pro - Am Welterweight British Title against a very dangerous Paddy Burke fighting out of the Waterford K.B. in Ireland. Rob current British Champion would later go on too win a convincing points victory over a tough durable fighter who had definitely come to give it his all, in what was a very entertaining fight which the Birmingham fighter won unanimously. Fight 2 Troy Ktori - CMA Kickboxing Vs Qasim Nisar - USKA Kickboxing were called to the ring.
This bout held anticipation in both camps as it was the debut into full contact fighting for Ktori and Nisar. Contenders having successful light continuous credentials, Ktori being ranked 2nd in the world for WAKO and Nisar, British Champion, made this for an interesting match. Round 1 started with Ktori opening up strong and after the initial rush, a gap between them started to appear. Nisar executed some strong kick and punch combinations, picking his shots well to win the 1st round. Round 2 continued in the same grain with Nisar defending well against Ktori’s flurries and continued to find his shots. Nisar landed 2 hard straight kicks across Ktori’s mid-section, causing him to wince and turn his back. Cecil Rose administered an 8 count and Nisar continued to pile on the pressure, taking the advantage in Round 2. The final round saw much of the same, with Ktori’s excellent bursts of combinations but after another kick that landed hard from Nisar, Ktori indicated that he had had enough; Cecil Rose stepped in to wave off the contest, Qasim Nisar taking victory by TKO. If it wasn’t loud enough in the auditorium the vivacious welcome afforded to a local favourite almost took the roof off with

Nathan Hall - Rough & Ready Vs Mario Campbell - USKA Kickboxing a novice heavyweight encounter with a difference, that being class, with both fighters making there full contact debuts you could have been forgiven for not expecting too much form this bout, but how wrong you would have been. With Hall opening up the round with a big axe kick to the top of Campbell's head. Both fighters are anxious and smothering each others work. Hall lands a hard jump turning side kick to the body of Campbell but his good condition takes it well. Round 1 goes to Hall for the cleaner kicking technique. Round two saw Campbell find his range. A big left hook catches Hall high on the top of the head which sends him down for an eight count. Campbell maintains the pressure for the rest of the round to win it big on the scorecards. All to fight for in the third as both fighters start strong. Hall looks tired now and gets hit with a flurry of hard hooks to the body followed by some cuffing head blows that bundles Hall to the floor. On rising the ref administers an eight count. Hall indicates that he has had enough and referee Cecil Rose calls a halt to the contest with Campbell being awarded the victory by 3rd Round TKO.

Fight 7 Carl Bryant - CMA Kickboxing Vs Tyler Shakespeare - USKA Kickboxing for the 60 - 62kg I.S.K.A. British Light Continuous Championship This co-main event had the crowd on their feet with two of the best young light continuous exponents in the country ready to do battle. The bout opened up with good lateral movement from Bryant and fluent kick combinations from Shakespeare. Bryant has good kicking ability but Shakespeare is reading it well and moving well out of the way of them landing. Shakespeare wins the round by the cleaner scoring kicks. Round 2 sees Shakespeare use his reach over his shorter opponent with Bryant opting to punch his way in to try and get close. Shakespeare manages to keep him at distance again with the longer kicking techniques and wins the round on the cards. Bryant ups the work rate in the 3rd round but again is coming up short and struggling to find his target. Shakespeare clocks up the points with single punches and single kicks again claiming the round. Round 4 is a frustrating one for Bryant moving out of the way of Shakespeare's kicks but in turn moving out of range to get his own shots off. On the occasions that Bryant did get close Shakespeare tied him up well and the referee stepped in to break up the clinch. Close round but again Shakespeare nicking it on the cards. Round 5 starts and Shakespeare's kicks are looking a little heavier and are slowing down. Bryant is closing down the distance without catching the kick on the way in now to score good combinations with the hands and the legs. A good round for Bryant to finish the bout but the feeling is too little too late as both fighters embrace. The winner by unanimous decision and score totals of 50/46 49/46 49/46 Tyler 'The Steppin razor' Shakespeare.

So it was three out of three, with another British title in the bag for the gym courtasy of the "Steppin Razor" and two extremely impressive F.C. debuts from two young fighters with very promising careers in front of them. Just seems like the gym as a whole seems to be on the winning trail right now ! Long may it continue.
