As always the U.S.K.A Superman competition was very well attended with over 45 competitors out to show what they were made of, some believe it or not as young as 4 years old.
This years competition had an added incentive for a good turn out due to the fact that a portion of the money raised on the day would go to charity for the Asian earthquake appeal in as always the name of the late Azmat Yaqub.
The Superman competition has built up quite a reputation over the years as being a tough challenge that would leave participants with aches and pains for days afterwards but still people turned up with their supporters to put their bodies through the pain barrier and to the test.
The majority of people use it as a personal challenge trying to beat personal bests and check the measure of their level of fitness but a few treat it very seriously indeed with the competition getting fierce, fast and furious in some of the events.
Again with five categories 8's n' unders, 9-11yrs, 12-14yrs, Men's & Ladies it was looking even before the first event like it was going to be a fun yet gruelling day for the martial athletes in attendance.
