SUNDAY 11TH JUNE 2006
THE EMERALD CLUB, BIRMINGHAM

The Emerald club in Small Heath Birmingham was once again host to the latest of the successful MAGB promotional groups amateur full contact shows on the 11th June.
Top of the bill saw Birmingham Martial Arts Centre's Rob 'Diesel' Stevens contesting the vacant ISKA Amateur European Super Welterweight title against the game and dangerous Frenchman Nizar Gallas and the co chief support bout featuring USKA's own Qasim 'The Dream' Nisar challenging for his first full contact title against Black Country Combat gym's Ricky Massey.
The crowd were treated to 12 fights in total including the two great headline bouts and as usual MAGB never failed to deliver in what has to be now considered as being the UK's premier amateur kickboxing circuit.
Fight One
Kyle Williams (Eclipse Kickboxing) Vs Declan Bailey (Alf Love BBA)
Matched at 43kg 3 x 1.5 minute rounds Light Continuous

Round 1
A confident stand from both corners, explosive right form the opening seconds – both fighters burst into good combinations of kicks & punches. Kyle edged forward pressing the action over the latter part of the round, Declan retiring to the corner looking a little tired.
Round 2
Kyle taking complete control over this round – Declan, a European champion, making some mistakes in desperation to try to close down Kyle’s legs, unsuccessfully trying to get on the inside. Another round to the Wolverhampton lad.
Round 3
Declan starts a bit stronger on this round with his kicks, however, Kyle’s superb kicking ability appear too much of a problem for him to overcome. Kyle Williams maintains control, style and a better range of accurate kicks & punches, winning the fight with a unanimous points decision.
An excellent display of light continuous from both corners.
Fight Two
Gad Mullins (TS Kickboxing) Vs Jason McMasters (Terminators)
Matched at 69kg 3 x 1.5 minute rounds Full Contact

Round 1
Nice steady 1st round, both fighters trying to find their range, The slightly cleaner work from Mullins just edging taking the round on the score cards
Round 2
Jason comes out with a stiff jab, pushing Gad back, continuing with a flurry of punches, sending Gad on the back foot. Gad answers with a flurry of his own, not fazed. Jason picks up the pace of the fight, generally landing the cleaner shots. His good work in this round had done enough to even up the scores and left the bout nicely balanced with it all to fight for in third and final round.
Round 3
Jason pushes forward, landing a straight right hand, again, Gad unfazed returns with an accurate clean uppercut. Gad has a slight lack of concentration and Jason manages to land a straight jab to Gads face, sending him to the canvas & an 8 count is delivered to the red corner by ref Mike Belgrave. Gad makes a positive attempt to claim an advantage a little too late; the fight ends with both fighters finishing strong, respect to Gad whose age makes him a little more seasoned than his opponent, Gad also giving away some experience.
Jason McMasters taking a unanimous decision win.
Fight Three
Harroon Glazlad (Cardiff Kickboxing) Vs Darren O’Neil (Alf Love BBA)
Matched at 53kg 3 x 1.5 minute rounds Full Contact

Round 1
Darren started off very sharp using his legs well, firing an assortment of kicks, keeping his opponent at bay. Harroon tries to come forward but Darren’s footwork allows him to pick Harroon off quite comfortably to take the first round.
Round 2
Harroon struggles to keep up with Darren who is impressively evasive, constantly picking Harroon off with kick & punch combinations.
Round 3
Darren maintains his range & pace – applying constant pressure, executing confident kick & punch techniques, Harroon being kept on the back foot.
Excellent transitional fight from light to full contact, unanimous decision going to Manchester's Darren O’Neil.

Fight Four
Vicky Ranson (TS Kickboxing) Vs Kerry Stewart (Sue Fell Kickboxing)
Matched at 53kg 3 x 1.5 minute rounds Full Contact

Round 1
Slow start from both sides, uneventful round with both fighters using the time to sound each other out, looking pretty even.
Round 2
This starts with a faster pace, both girls attacking each other furiously with punches & kicks, pushing each other forward & back. Vicky coming through the stronger, catching Kerry with 2 straight punches & a left hook, slumping Kerry over the ropes, finishing this round with an 8 count – talk about being saved by the bell!!
Round 3
Both fighters stand toe to toe, trading viciously, Vicky catching Kerry with the stronger shots. Vicky, never frightened to plant herself & go to work, Kerry relentlessly trying to defend herself, taking this round into quite a slug fest – both fighters going hammer & tongs!!
The crowd at this point appreciating the fighters efforts, Vicky Ranson, too strong for her admirable opponent, takes the unanimous decision.

Fight Five
James ‘Bucket' Casey (Alf Love BBA) Vs Murdock 'Magic Man' Kellyman (USKA)
Matched at 67kg 3 x 1.5 minute rounds Light Continuous

With Manchester's James 'Bucket' Cassey being no stranger to the USKA team Murdock was taking nothing for granted and knew that he would have to be at his very best in order to get over this latest career hurdle.
Cassey had lost a close points decision to USKA's 3 times British champion Tyler 'The Steppin Razor' Shakespeare in a British title fight just over a year ago and even more recently than that claimed a controversial points decision win over Qasim 'The Dream' Nisar on the mats in Manchester only four months ago.
With this in mind Murdock had trained accordingly and worked hard on the stamina issues that had let him down at the European Championships in Germany in April.
Cassey first to the ring to a good reception from the Emerald crowd.
If Cassey's entrance was good then Murdock's entrance can only be described as great as the roof nearly lifted off the room as he made his way to the ring.
Rapturous cheers, air horns and thumping 50 cent ring tune had the crowd buzzing at the sight of the first USKA fighter of the night.
With the introduction and centre ring instructions done it was now time for what was promising on paper to be a really good fight.

Round 1
The first thing plainly apparent about the two fighters was that Murdock was more of a full contact stylist, tight guard, elbows in, wide stance whereas James took more of a points fighters side on stance and low lead guard.
James off the side on stance was throwing his lead leg side kick off keeping Murdock on the outside. Murdock soon works out this attacking method of James and he starts to hook deflect away the side kick and lands combinations on the counter that James has no answer to. Murdock's straight leg kicks to the body on the end of his combinations are landing cleanly and are clearly disturbing the Manchester fighters pattern of fighting.
It is now James who is trying to stay away and Murdock stalking the attack.
In an attempt to score James crudely jumps in with a big right hand only for Murdock to lean back and counter with a perfectly timed right hand that puts James on the canvas right as the bell to end the first round is heard.
Although the feeling is that it was more a case of James falling onto the counter the knock down punch earned Murdock a warning from referee Mike Belgrave back in his corner.
Round 2
Knowing what his man has got Murdock is less cautious and opens up the second round at a higher pace than the first. A left leg straight leg to the body drops James and Murdock's strength seems now to be taking over in the fight. Referee Belgrave steps in and administers a 8 count giving James time to compose himself and recover.
The fight resumes and James is circling laterally now around the outskirts of the ring trying to stay out of trouble.
James not keen on committing to his attack for fear of been hit with the multiple counters from Murdock looks to be in a bad position in the bout.
The round ends and it is another clear cut round for the USKA man.
Round 3
The final round starts and James starts aggressively trying to make a last ditch impression on Murdock. He backs Murdock up to the ropes and Murdock in an attempt to keep his man off lifts his leg into a chamber threatening to fire the push kick if James dares to come forward. James sees the opportunity and steps in with a beautiful rear leg sweep that takes Murdock down to the canvas.
Bouncing straight back up to his feet Murdock knows he got caught and that the tide could be changing in the bout. James is growing in confidence now and Murdock's technique seems to look a little laboured.
Murdock leads with a straight right hand but this time it is he who is punished on the counter as again James times an excellent inside footsweep taking Murdock down onto his front.
Murdock knows he needs to finish strong to salvage the round and that is exactly what he attempts to do. He finds his second wind and starts applying strong pressure pushing his man back against the ropes. Murdock ups his land count again landing an axe kick to the top of the headguard of James.
Murdock is applying all the pressure in the last 15 seconds and James is just on the defence to see the round through.
The bell sounds to end a real back and forth round and hard fought contest.
Both fighters embrace and are called to the ring centre fro the result to be announced.
Ladies and gentlemen, your winner, by way of unanimous decision.....From the blue corner.....Murdock 'Magic Man' Kellyman!

An ecstatic Murdock delighted with his win celebrated with his appreciative audience and gave the USKA team of three a great start to their evenings tally.

Fight Six
Lee Jackson (TS Kickboxing) Vs Martin Smith (Birmingham Martial Arts Centre)
Matched at 64kg 3 x 1.5 minute rounds Full Contact

Round 1
Both corners came out bombing, giving no time for space or range, throwing some heavy artillery. Both take some phenomenal strong punches, Martin takes 2 good shots on the chin which seems to stiffen his legs for the latter part of the round, Lee also causing Martin further distress by cornering him but apart from that pretty close on the scorecards.
Round 2
Lee puts Martin on the back foot, again backing him into the corner landing heavy head shots. Martin is under pressure & Lee’s attack is relentless as he continues throwing leather.
A more conclusive round from Jackson this tome edging in front.
Round 3
Lee starts the 3rd round with much of the same, but then the pace seems to catch up with him. Jackson gets a little sloppy, Martin attempts a 2nd burst but the heavy attacks of the first 2 rounds have took there toll, Martin struggling with his accuracy but workrate closing the gap between the two on the cards.
Strong fight – a good old fashioned tear up!
Very enjoyable majority decision 1st fight win for Lee Jackson.

Fight Seven
Gemal Gokcan (Eclipse Kickboxing) Vs Tommy ‘Gun’ Collett (USKA)
Matched at 69kg 3 x 1.5 minute rounds Full Contact

Due to Tommy's original opponent from Wales Hammed Osman weighing in very light at 61kg it was up to promoters MAGB to do some opponent juggling to try and salvage a match for the young USKA Gun.
The only possible match left for Tommy was against the very dangerous and unbeaten Wolverhampton prospect Gemal Gokcan from Fran Zuccala's Eclipse gym.
We had seen Gemal fight on two previous occasions and knew that he was very fast and talented and had a very unorthodox and elusive style of fighting.
All this sent out warning signs and to be honest it was a challenge that all the USKA team had reservations in accepting at this stage in Tommy's fighting career.
After some careful consideration we decided to step up to the plate and in true USKA fashion attempt to seize the day and allow Tommy the opportunity to earn some stripes.
Gemal announced first to the ring to a warm applause from the crowd.
If the crowd knew what they were about to be treated to my feeling is that the temperature would have gone from warm to red hot.
Tommy announced second to the blue corner and once again the USKA crowd did not disappoint with their show of support. As the machine gun fire sounded out in Tommy's entrance music once again the roof was raised and atmosphere elevated as crowd favourite Tommy Gun made his way to the ring.
Nothing has been given to Tommy on a plate so far in his full contact career and for the forth time in a row he would be facing yet another unbeaten fighter.
As both fighters came to the ring centre to listen to referee Mike Belgrave's final instructions it was evident that Tommy would have to give away height advantage to the rangy Gokcan.
Could Tommy rise to the challenge at hand? All was about to be revealed!

Round 1
The round starts with some nice style from both fighters. Gemal opting to hit and move using his angles of attack and Tommy solidly stalking forward in a strong stance closing off the ring and the movement from the Eclipse fighter.
Gemal is landing nicely with his jab and straight right hand and Tommy landing and scoring well with his jab and lead leg round kick to the body.
This is shaping up into being a really technical battle both offensively and defensively between the two.
Gemal's straight's have bloodied Tommy's nose and the blood flow seems quite heavy.
Mid way through the round Tommy has found his jab and is countering Gemal's straights negating his earlier good work.
Gemal shows his class and ability faking the straight right hand into the spin kicks that is excellently caught by Tommy on his high cover. This however is a warning to Tommy that any mistake could cost him dearly.
Tommy back on the attack now is putting his boxing together well now and is backing the elusive up and trapping him on the ropes.
The round ends and it is a real close one with the judges split down the middle on who had done the better the better work.
Round 2
Tommy is fast out of the blocks this round forcing the action and again catching Gemal with his accurate jab and punch combinations.
Tommy's defence is fantastic and he is catching almost all of Gemal's shots on his arms and gloves now.
There is a very strong look from Tommy now and he is forcing Gemal back.
Gemal looks a little befuddled now as Tommy starts to get his head movement going as well and hitting Gemal on the counter. I don't think Gemal has faced anyone like Tommy before and it is taking him some time to work out his style.
Tommy is bringing his body punches into his game as well now and it looks as if he is moving through the gears nicely.
Just when it was looking like it was all Tommy, Gemal shows he is still dangerous and checks Tommy's chin with a big bolo right hand. No glass chin there then Mr Collett!
The chants of Tommy! Tommy! Tommy! ring out as the bell sounds to end the round.
A good one for Tommy and the feeling is that we are in front.
Round 3
Gemal knows he needs to win the last round big and starts from the bell accordingly.
Unfortunately for him pressing the attack rather than working the counter is not his preferred way of fighting and he is leaving himself open to the sneaky hurtful counters of Tommy as he comes forward.
Tommy is picking his shots well and not leaving any gaps for Gemal's counter.
Looking for a big finish Tommy throws his trade mark straight one, two, spin kick that Gemal catches on his hands. The crowd however aren't bothered and are happy to give credit in the form of another rapturous applause.
The round ends and the feeling from the USKA corner is that it is another good one for their boy. Tommy also looks happy and he is confident that he has done enough to take the win.
The MC announces the decision and it is a good one.......The winner......by way of majority decision......In the blue corner......Tommy 'Gun' Collett!

Tommy certainly did earn his stripes tonight and credit must also go out to Gemal for his efforts in what most people believe was the fight of the night.
Two excellent prospects who have a really bright future in the sport and no doubt in my mind at all that you will hear an awful lot more from these two warriors in the future.
Maybe even if we are lucky a return fight somewhere down the line.

Fight Eight
Matt Offord (TS Kickboxing) Vs Sammy Love (Alf Love BBA)
Matched at 70kg 3 x 1.5 minute rounds Full contact

Round 1
True clash of styles, both fighters struggling to find their range, Love trying to pull off some of his flashy kicks but not a lot landing cleanly, pretty even looking round in terms of clean landing shots but Love just edging it on work rate and volume.
Round 2
Sammy unstoppable in his attack, this fighter very unpredictable causing Matt difficulty, understanding the hesitation as to come in on Sammy would be risky, as a result Matt gives Sammy to much time allowing him to mount his constant attack.
Round 3
Matt again giving away ground, Sammy continues to come forward, not a pretty fight, then Sammy does a real sacrifice kick (wow) Matt’s usual ability stunted, he shows frustration with a gesture of almost disbelief, just not able to tame Sammy’s style, giving the unanimous win to Sammy Love.
Fight Nine
Adam Jones (Cardiff Kickboxing) Vs Lee Whitfield (Eclipse Kickboxing)
Matched at 77kg 4 x 2 minute rounds Full Contact

Round 1
Lee starts off with 2 very sharp side kicks to Adam’s body, followed by another strong side kick to the head. Adam responds with a short flurry of punches causing Lee to cover up. Lee powers back with a combination of his own, landing with a strong straight left hand, Adam landing hard on his backside, receiving an 8 count. Adam is simply out gunned in this round.
Round 2
An excellent display of kicks & punches from Lee, landing at will, including a superb axe kick, he just has too much in his artillery for Adam, coupled with a height advantage, leaving Adam struggling to get past Lee’s kicking attacks - a very gallant effort from the red corner, the fight called to a halt at the end of Round 2 by Adam Jones corner –
Lee Whitfield taking his 2nd full contact victory.

Fight Ten
James Nicholson (TS Kickboxing) Vs George Markou (Birmingham Martial Arts Centre)
Matched at 71kg 3 x 1.5 minute rounds Full Contact

Round 1
Excellent 1st round for these novices, George landing a considerable amount of body shots & kick punch combinations, James struggling to get decent scoring shots off. The home crowd now completely warmed up, loudly appreciating George’s comfortable start.
Round 2
George opens the round with a strong heavy round kick, scoring to the head, James covering well & tries to get on the inside but George lands repeated hooks to his opponent’s body, only then to subject him to a further barrage of body kicks. James tucks in tight, ploughing forward with hook punches, not showing intimidation from the 2nd comfortable blue corner advantage.
Round 3
George keeps control with more strong body & head kicks, James gets a sudden burst – releasing a volley of dangerous punches causing George to cover up & hold. Not wanting a second taste of James’s power, George holds him at bay with his legs – the crowd loving this bout – James gets a final front kick in, pushing George into the ropes, the bell sounding ending this superb fight.
Unanimous decision to first time fighter George Markou.

Fight Eleven
Ricky Massey Black Country Combat Vs Qasim ‘The Dream’ Nisar (USKA)
I.S.K.A. Light Weight Midland Area Amateur Full Contact Title
Matched at 61kg 5 x 2 minute rounds Full Contact

It was time now for the USKA main event. Qasim 'The Dream' Nisar in his first full contact title fight against Ricky Massey from the Black Country Combat gym.
The ISKA Lightweight Midland Area Title was the prize and both fighters who had had plenty of time and notice to train for it were fit and ready and both confident that they had what it took to take the win and claim the vacant belt.
This was also the first time for both fighters to fight over 5 two minute rounds and the talk from both camps was that their men had trained harder than ever before and looking forward to the battle.
Qasim and his coaching team had watched extensive video footage of Massey and they had what they thought was an air tight strategy that would serve them well and bring them the victory.
Massey first announced to the ring to what can only be described as a subdued crowd.
Completely different reception however for 'The Dream' as the drums started to beat and Qasim's trade mark Muhammad Ali loop of 'THE CHAMP IS HERE' is heard over the loud speakers.
Again another deafening reception from the USKA crowd as a chilled and rather dapper Qasim appeared soaking up the atmosphere and pumping up the crowd.
No signs of nerves yet then Mr Nisar?
Both fighters receiving final instructions from referee Mike Belgrave did not take their eyes off each other for a second and although good friends out of the ring the sense was that it was going to be all business when that first bell sounded. Gloves touched,
it was time to get in on!

Round 1
Both fighters opened up the first round very cagey just taking a look at each other and trying the spot any in your face weaknesses.
Qasim's only instruction from the corner for the first round was to assert the jab and find the rear leg straight leg kick.
Qasim is controlling centre ring and true to ricky's usual style of fighting he is circling fighting from the outside.
Not alot of punches are landing from either man but Qasim's rear body straight leg is landing flush and even as early as the first round is beginning to redden the left side of Ricky's body.
Qasim is making very few mistakes and is working behind educated pressure for his openings.
Round one in the history books and surely in the bag for Qasim.
Round 2
By the second round any nerves that were there in round 1 had well and truly gone and Qasim was putting his boxing together beautifully.
A professional approach from Qasim stringing his punches and kicks together and mixing in the body attack showed a maturity well above his years.
Ricky a little cruder in his attack and not really finding his target was starting to realise the enormity of the task in front of him.
Qasim off balances Ricky with a sweep and ploughs in a hard punch kick combination on him on the ropes.
Ricky switches stance to try and break Qasim's rhythm and to his credit catches Qasim with a sharp southpaw jab. That unfortunately for him was one of his only successes in the round. A big second round for Qasim and it looked like he was getting stronger as the bout went on.
Round 3
Ricky after the last round was not throwing much on the attack and as a result was not leaving many gaps for Qasim to manipulate.
An almost negative start to the round from Ricky made Qasim force the action and was staying ahead purely on his workrate.
Ricky then came out of his defensive shell and let rip with six punch power combination that Qasim anticipated well and took on his arms.
Ricky trying harder now but being intercepted by Qasim's hard jab every time he moved forward.
A push kick from Qasim to Ricky's body sends the gum shield flying out of his mouth and the action is momentarily stopped for the shield to be replaced.
The bell rings and yet again it is another good one for the USKA fighter.
Round 4
On the instruction of the corner Qasim was told to again up the gear in this next round and increase his output. The feeling from the corner was that Ricky was beginning to tire and we wanted to push him over the edge and
out of his comfort zone.
Qasim faking more and moving more was putting some serious heat onto Ricky.
It was all Qasim at this point, hitting Ricky at will and it looked like Rocky was all but spent.
A round of survival for Ricky and it closed with Ricky trapped on the ropes shipping yet again a heavy barrage of punishment.
Most conclusive round yet for Qasim.
Round 5
It was a question now on if Qasim knowing he had more than done enough to win the fight was just going to protect his lead and coast to victory or if he was going to keep on the heat and finish as strong as he had started.
Qasim being Qasim opted for the latter.
Ricky too wanted to put in a good account of himself in the final segment and in a last hurrah lifted his game to force some action of his own.
Although apparent that Rocky was throwing more than he had in the previous rounds he was still landing the majority of his shots on the tight guard of Qasim.
Qasim was also finding a nice short uppercut from the tight guard onto Ricky's chin.
Again the gumshield falls from the tired Ricky Massey's mouth and again the action is paused as it is replaced.
The final seconds sees a trade off of punches which again in fairness to Ricky he was giving as good as he got.
Both fighters embrace putting the competition behind them and once again becoming good friends.
Your winner..........by way of unanimous decision......and new ISKA Midland Area Champion.......In the blue corner........Qasim 'The Dream' Nisar!

Qasim seals the hatrick of victory's for the USKA team and the crowd very happy in what can only be described as a master class from Qasim.
This fight showed yet another dimension to Qasim's already impressive arsenal of technique and fighting style that will prove him a very hard man to beat in the future.
His maturity noticed by all in attendance that has surely got the whole 60kg division sitting up and taking notice.

Nizar Gallas (KFBC, France) Vs Rob ‘Diesel’ Stevens (Birmingham Martial Arts Centre,GB)
I.S.K.A. Super Welterweight European Amateur Full Contact Title
Match at 68kg 5 x 2 minute rounds Full Contact
Nizar entered the ring to a respectful reception, the crowd clapping him, ever pleasing to see true sportsmanship from the home crowd – this followed by a phenomenal entrance from Diesel, whose music could barely even be heard over the rapturous applause & his trade mark crowd noise ‘DIESEL’ ‘DIESEL’….
After the national anthems, both corners acknowledge each other, taking their corners, Nizar in the red corner, Diesel in the blue.

Round 1
Nizar starts off confidently, the quicker of the two, firing in 2 round kicks. Diesel responds with a side kick to the body, this answered by Nizar with a left round kick to the body straight right hand, just clipping Diesel’s head. A furious exchange of punches in the corner from both fighters, Diesel attempting an inside sweep & a right hook, Nizar then answers back with a short cluster of punches. He lands 2 strong body kicks followed up with a perfectly timed inside leg sweep, ending Round 1.
The crowd appreciating this fight from the get go – the French contingent was here to win – tough first round, you could almost feel people holding their breath – Diesel definitely had a fight on his hands!
Round 2
Rob is the first off the mark, a round kick & an over hand right, Nizar holds, then replies – he holds then fires out a straight right hand. Diesel lands a round kick, over hand right & a glancing uppercut through the middle.
Nizar fires out a vicious round kick, just missing Diesels head – the phonetic pace is incredible, the round continues with constant attacks from both fighters, there is so much going on, as much hitting as missing. Both fighters exchange punches, Rob scoring an uppercut on the inside, Nizar pressurises Diesel into the corner, another heated exchange of blows, Diesel escapes the disadvantage, looping in an overhand right to Nizar's head. The barrage continues until the bell goes ending this round.
Round 3
Diesel's evasive skills showing early in this round, dodging Nizar's kicks, on 2 occasions a strong counter from Diesel, the 1st a sneaky uppercut, the 2nd a strong hook to the head. Diesels nifty footwork is very apparent, evading a barrage of kicks from Nizar. After another short encounter of kicks & punches, Diesel shows strength on the inside with accurate uppercuts. Diesel clears the way a little in this round, upping his game, dominating Round 3 with the more positive pressure. Nizar ends Round 3 with another timely executed sweep.
Round 4
Diesel starts off with more strong combinations of kicks & punches, backing Nizar into the ropes. Nizar blasts back a round kick to the head, catching Diesels guard. Nizar seems to have a strategy of cornering Diesel, feeling this is a pressure advantage. After Diesel covers up, defending another spate of punches, he attacks back stamping in a side kick to the body, landing Nizar on the seat of his pants.
The French corner men become increasingly animated – the crowd off their seats – after another short attack from the Frenchman, diesel again drops him with a side kick to the body. Nizar not at all hurt comes back more determined, firing in a head kick. Again Nizar executes another perfect sweep, Diesel landing on the canvas. Final few spates of kicks & punches, ending Round 4.
Round 5
Both fighters come out bombing each other with sharp strong heavy shots – neither fighter willing to give way – the crowd going absolutely mad, loving every minute of this, Diesel lands an overhand right followed by an uppercut, then another one glancing Nizar's chin. Diesels confidence grows, injecting some showmanship, winding up his right hand banging with his left hook to Nizar's head, the crowd erupt in appreciation!
Nizar marauds forward throwing in a jab cross back leg round kick combo – non stop – backing diesel against the ropes, Diesel takes a head kick, the French corner going crazy urging their man on, Diesel stuns Nizar with a beautiful combo, a double uppercut, knocking him back with a hook punch to the head. Nizar advances again, Diesel lands another heavy uppercut. The 2 gladiators battle until the very last second, an awesome performance from these two warriors, a brilliantly fought European Title bout.
Rob ‘Diesel’ Stevens victoriously taking the contest unanimously, a deserved I.S.K.A. Super Welterweight European Amateur Champion.
