As the only suitable contender to represent USKA due to categories,
Mark the Killer Kicker Sedgwick faithfully cornered by Sean
Quinn once again did us proud!
The dynamic duo with Mark's number 1 fan dad Eric arrived
in Tamworth at 10.30am and immediately weighed in and registered.
The fights kicked off at around 12.30 with Marks first fight,
a semi final at 2.30 against a compact and talented looking
lad.
After a slow start from Mark and a fast start from his opponent
Mark kicks into gear with a flurry of kicks and punches to
the head. Mark then lands a beautiful clean right hand knocking
his opponents head right back.
As Sean instructs from the sidelines Mark is executing the
techniques as they are called, performing excellent punching
and chopping techniques as the round progresses. As Mark's
opponent starts to feel the power behind the body kicks, following
a round of hot cold straight legs to the body his opponent
hasn't the time to respond and starts to get disheartened.
This leads to Mark taking a well deserved victory in a tough
competitive fight.

Mark's second fight almost immediately followed.
Like a bus you wait for ages for one to come about and then
all of a sudden two come at once.
This time he would face a more experienced fighter who looked
psyched and ready to fight.
The fight starts and both finalists struggle to find their
targets with each of their styles cancelling out the other.
Mark soon manages to start securing his points with body kicks
and combinations before the referee split's the two fighters.
His opponent however is not fazed and unlike the last opponent
is straight back in the mix in an attempt to get his points
back.
After a flurry of kicks and punches from both fighters Mark's
nose starts to trickle with blood, this is soon remedied by
the paramedic at mat side and the action continues.
Both fighters clash again and Mark lands some excellent body
and head kicks but his relentless opponent keeps on coming
and to his credit is putting up an excellent fight.
Mark's consistency in his scoring pays off in the end as he
is rewarded with the victory and yet another 1st place trophy
to add to his collection.

Mark would like to add a big thank you to Sean for all his
support and his excellent advice whilst cornering both fights.
